The new VHO Pro LED LiteRibbon is the simplest color correct lighting product available. Years in the making, just 3 simple components make this minimal light source created exclusively for cinema and tv production. At its core, the new VHO Pro LED emitters are a design breakthrough. We have created a beautiful, full spectrum, white light that renders skin-tones and colors to their natural state. VHO Pro emitters are fully color-correct and blend freely with legacy tungsten and fluorescent units as well as modern high-end LED fixtures from Arri, Mole Richardson and others. VHO Pro emitters are the first LEDs to bring high CRI, full spectrum color-correct white light to what we call low-output LED products. Typically reserved for high wattage and high cost LED fixtures, the new VHO Pro line brings color-correct white light into the affordable range.

Genuine VHO Pro LiteRibbon™ is available in 24 variations. There are TWO densities, Hard 120 and Soft 60. FOUR widths, single, double, triple and six rows wide. And, THREE colors of full-spectrum white, Tungsten, Daylite, and tunable-white Hybrid.

VHO Pro emitters have been specifically formulated to render skin-tones beautifully. Their wide-angle output, combined with their ultra-low power consumption allows for precise control of daylight or tungsten balanced light in previously impossible areas of the set or prop or wardrobe project. Digital cinema cameras are finally living up to their promise of using less light without loss of image quality. At the same time, they are more sensitive than ever to low-CRI or poor quality white light. That’s why precise low output control of beautiful, full spectrum white light is more important than ever. VHO Pro Tungsten and Daylite produce full-spectrum color-correct light with a 120º output at only 0.16 watts each!

VHO Pro LiteRibbon™ is available in two densities. Hard, high-density 120 and soft, low-density 60. VHO 120 provides a concentrated, slightly “hard” output at about 1.5 watts per square inch. When specifying an intense light source for a small area, VHO 120 is a great choice. When more subdued light is required, VHO 60 provides an unmistakable soft light output. Clocking in at just 0.37 watts per square inch, it produces beautiful soft light without the need for diffusion filters. Both the hard 120 and soft 60 offer a wide-angle output with graceful, tapered edges and a perfectly even field.

If applying LED LiteRibbon™ to an automobile interior headliner, choose the harder VHO 120 to augment the dome light. The smaller but more powerfull output will yield a nice, directional, and believable output. Conversely, to provide a soft and subtle overhead feel, VHO 60 is recommended. Because it spreads the LED emitters out over a larger area, a softer light output is created. This is a great way to provide a delicate and sourceless overhead light.

Available in four widths, VHO Pro X1, X2, X3, and X6

Single wide “X1” features a solitary row of emitters while double wide “X2” offers a twin row. Completing the line is the triple wide “X3” and six wide “X6”. All four are available in the hard, high-density 120 as well as the softer, low-density 60 in either 3200k Tungsten, 5600k Daylite, or tunable Kelvin temperature Hybrid White.

If the desired type of light is linear, VHO 120’s X1, X2 or X3 are a great choice. These provide light output that is sharp and cuttable in one direction but softer in the other. In contrast, VHO 60 supplies a noticeably softer output when in both horizontal and vertical directions. The choice of which “X” to use comes down to the amount of surface area your project requires.

Available in three colors, Tungsten, Daylite, and Hybrid LiteRibbon LED™

VHO Pro Tungsten provides an incandescent-like color that appears warm to the eye and to the camera. Performing at 3200º K and 95 CRI, VHO Tungsten is named for the metallic element that has been commonly associated with incandescent lighting. It beautifully mixes with legacy tungsten and halogen light sources but dims without Kelvin temperature shift.

VHO Pro Daylite provides mid-day, sun-like hues that can be used to boost available daylight without the use of filters. Performing at 6000º K and 95 CRI, VHO Daylite is named for the industry term used for other color-correct technologies like fluorescent and HMI. It has more in common with these other technologies than its name. VHO Daylite has been designed to match color and spectrum making it easy to openly mix light sources and lighting technologies.

VHO Pro Hybrid provides all the benefits of VHO Tungsten and Daylite along with the range of Kelvin temperatures between 3200ºK and 6000ºK. This obvious advantage allows your LiteRibbon™ package or kit to always provide the required white-balance without the need for filters. When used with our LiteDimmer Hybrid, you get granular control of Kelvin temperature along with master brightness and with its low-mode, it is possible to achieve ultra-precise low-light level control.
